Laboratorio BS is composed of a highly specialized staff and aims for a continuous innovation of the production process. It is equipped with a 4-axis machining center synchronized with “Diamond Turning” technology and supports synchronized turning, fly-cutting and micro millingwith the use of diamond tools.Machining tolerances have nanometer precision as opposed to the traditional CNC machines that have a precision that is one thousand times inferior. Using this machining technology, optical geometries with a low surface roughness and a machine-like, specular finish are obtained, thus not requiring further surface finishing, which is often a source of error in the shape that inevitably compromises the efficiency of the optics themselves.
